The Role
Our client, a leading educational establishment in Ajman has an exciting opportunity for the role of a Manager of Alumni Affairs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: \xe2\x80\xa2 Responsible for developing and implementing the University\xe2\x80\x99s Alumni Office strategy. \xe2\x80\xa2 Determine the Alumni affairs team\xe2\x80\x99s strategic direction and provide leadership, motivation and support in order to maintain the quality of the team\xe2\x80\x99s output so that the University\xe2\x80\x99s and Department\xe2\x80\x99s objectives are achieved. \xe2\x80\xa2 Manage volunteers to work with alumni groups including Alumni Council and International Chapters by supporting the President of the Alumni Council in organizing their meetings and directing them to achieve the council purpose and mission. \xe2\x80\xa2 Oversee the database and online networking portal in conjunction with the senior officer. \xe2\x80\xa2 Responsible for developing the Alumni affairs budget and tailoring the Alumni Relations program to the available resources and monitoring expense against that budget. \xe2\x80\xa2 Oversee liaison between the Alumni affairs team members and others in the University to ensure that there is effective communication with colleagues on matters relating to alumni events, University publications, web and email communication. \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop strong alumni relationship and other networks to support and develop strategies for alumni office activity. \xe2\x80\xa2 Lead and manage the staff including the student trainee. \xe2\x80\xa2 Represent the university in major alumni office events.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: \xe2\x80\xa2 Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Business management, or related field with minimum experience of 7 years in which 2 years are in a managerial position. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in driving engagement within an alumni community is ideal; however, a background event management & student engagement is also considered. \xe2\x80\xa2 Professional communication skills, both oral and written, combined with confident interpersonal skills & presence. \xe2\x80\xa2 A flexible team orientated attitude along with willingness to travel Internationally KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: \xe2\x80\xa2 Significant experience in an alumni affairs, public relations or similar role. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience of devising a strategic plan and leading a team & volunteers to implement it across the university. \xe2\x80\xa2 Management experience, including leadership skills to inspire a team, support and develop individuals \xe2\x80\xa2 Budgetary management experience \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience of delivering high-quality events. \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge and experience of the Higher Education sector is an advantage
