Education : B.tech / BE (Mechanical)

Experience required : 10- 12 years of relevant experience.

Minimum 10 - 12 years\' experience in a large power station mechanical maintenance mainly having sufficient experience in Steam Turbine maintenance and trouble shooting. Plan, budget, schedule, co-ordinate, balance resources, direct/guide/ensure execution, or plant maintenance in assigned area with objective to match the Plant Maintenance fully & efficiently. Study maintenance cost, efficiency & economics of plant, evaluate, recommend uprating, discuss with management& initiate action as per directives to ensure overall reliability, efficiency & long-time availability of plant machinery at optimum cost. Review proposed and prioritized plant maintenance activities, contract works, budget and amend/recommend/submit them as per Departmental guidelines for line function. Follow up & manage maintenance activities, contract works. plan/arrange for visits of & maintenance activities, study/control/monitor expenditure, procurements, contracts, resource requirement and utilization within limits of approved budget. Resolve technical problems, study/ amend/ recommend/ propose maintenance procedures, suggestions, modifications, improvements to plants, systems & facilities, control/approve movement of outward materials, scrap & wastes. Good knowledge of Boilers/Steam turbines/ Gas Turbines/Desalination plants & associated systems, heat exchangers, rotating machinery, thermodynamics.
