About the role
Are you a tech-savvy, analytical professional, eager to deliver quality business results? Do you enjoy being a problem solver and solutions engineer? The Manager, Infrastructure Applications is responsible for maintaining resort applications and the datacenter area. Duties will include processes of first line of support for all property management systems/interfaces and including attending and leading meetings, testing, documentation, upgrade, testing and daily monitoring of all PMS Applications/Database Servers, whilst also working independently with direction from the IT Director. You will also provide strategic direction and guidance, as well as being responsible in ensuring the smooth and 24/7 operation of VM environment and data centers, and being the point of escalation for all VM, VEEAM, and server performance issues. You will review and govern all change requests related to virtual environment, data center, application backups, and applicable OS updates, and lead system infrastructure and be responsible for managing project timelines to ensure a smooth transition to the new system and minimise post-installation support requirements.
Another key aspect of this role will include being responsible for security and access of the PMS, and providing training to internal resources, explaining the application, associated modules and a good understanding of the background information in property management system and related interfaces. You will perform hands-on configuration of virtual servers, VEEAM backups, and AWS environments and actively monitor and mitigate system status, ensuring 99.99% uptime.
In this role, you will coach, mentor, motivate and supervise IT team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
About you
The ideal candidate must have previous experience working at a similar level within an IT applications/infrastructure/networks & telecommunications environment, within a 5* hotel/resort, and ideally a minimum of 3-4 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience managing a team people, supporting large, converged networks and IT services.
You will have a firm understanding of IT processes and administrative tasks, experience in VM, VEEAM, AWS system/operations/report writing and DB administration knowledge.
