Role Summary
The Manager Freight is responsible for defining and executing freight strategies, overseeing daily operations, managing partners, and driving efficiency, sustainability, and compliance across end-to-end freight activities aligned with retail business priorities.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage freight strategies to deliver cost-efficient, reliable, and flexible international and domestic flows
• Oversee day-to-day freight operations including bookings, scheduling, and end-to-end shipment tracking across sea, air, and land
• Manage relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, and logistics partners to ensure contract compliance and service levels
• Ensure full compliance with customs regulations, trade laws, and internal policies, coordinating clearance with brokers
• Monitor freight costs against budget, track KPIs, and analyze performance to identify improvements
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Commercial, Operations, Finance, and IT teams to align freight plans and improve visibility
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and technology solutions to enhance freight performance
• Lead sustainability and optimization initiatives to improve load utilization and reduce environmental impact

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Trade, or a related field; professional certifications are an advantage
• 7 to 10 years of experience in freight, logistics, or supply chain management, including 3 to 4 years in a managerial role
• Strong background in retail, FMCG, or discount retail operations
• Proven experience managing international freight and customs processes within the Middle East
• Solid knowledge of freight forwarding, customs clearance, transport networks, and vendor negotiation
• Proficiency in logistics systems and Microsoft Office with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
