Our Transaction Advisory delivery model includes the entire transaction life-cycle enabling engagement opportunities throughout the lifetime of a deal. The Transaction services includes diligence advice to help our clients identify risks associated with deals and offer solutions that can help to mitigate such risks, act as an independent financial adviser on IPOs as well as on a range of other corporate transactions including , financial modelling, fundraising and debt financing.

The Due Diligence Manager is responsible for supporting in all phases of project and engagement management for multiple clients in a wide variety of industries. Responsibilities include planning, directing, and completing projects and services in financial due diligence and developing and managing staff. They will work closely with all team members and plays a key role in client management, practice development and business development for an assigned group of clients.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for managing the production of large sections of financial due diligence reports as well as supporting in the coaching, supervising and reviewing the work of junior members of the team.
  • Manage client expectations concerning project deliverables and deadlines and lead change efforts effectively.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships and cross-sell services.
  • Assist in formulating the scope of work for engagements, take responsibility for quality control and the accuracy of client\'s deliverables as well as the risk associated with them.
  • Assist in preparing fee estimates and budgets for client assignments and justify any changes over the duration of the project.
  • Playing a part in growing the Grant Thornton brand in the marketplace by building market relationships & networks and contributing to the process of winning new business for the Transaction Advisory team and the wider Grant Thornton practice.
  • You will have excellent report writing skills as it is critical to our work that business insights are conveyed concisely, accurately and in an easy to read manner.
  • Support the team on proposals and business development calls.
  • Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).
  • Identify and discuss issues with the team leader on a timely basis
  • Effectively communicate (verbally and in writing) externally with clients and internally with all levels of the organization to successfully accomplish objectives portraying knowledge and confidence
  • Particularly, you would be expected to be a self-starter and driven, keen to shape your career and broaden your skillset. In addition to your Due Diligence related responsibilities, you would be actively working on a range of assignments involving valuations, financial model reviews, model build assignments, market entry studies, M&A and fundraising.
  • Other duties as assigned according to the needs of the business.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 6+ years of related work experience in a similar consulting practice or function servicing cross-industry clients.
  • CFA, CA, ACA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent.
  • Strong current knowledge and solid experience in the following: accounting, audit and transaction advisory services (due diligence experience essential).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and simultaneous projects in a rapidly growing practice.
  • Strong leadership, business development, training, and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent written, presentation, leadership, and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent analytical, numeracy and problem solving skills.
  • You must be flexible and willing to travel to client sites.
  • In addition, flexibility is needed in working practices and hours due to the transaction-based nature of this work and tight reporting deadlines.
