Job Role: Manager - Cloud & Infrastructure
Job Location: Sharjah, UAE

The Manager of Cloud & Infrastructure Services is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and operation of enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers (Windows & Linux), cloud platforms (Oracle, AWS, Azure), container orchestration (Kubernetes), networking, and enterprise databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, MySQL, CouchDB). This role manages multiple specialized teams and ensures high availability, scalability, security, and performance of all infrastructure and platform services.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Managerial

• Lead and manage dedicated teams across servers, cloud, networking, Kubernetes, and database platforms.
• Define an infrastructure strategy aligned with business objectives, ensuring scalability, cost-effectiveness, and security.
• Oversee cloud adoption and migration initiatives, optimizing multi-cloud (Oracle, AWS, Azure) environments.
• Establish and enforce policies, standards, and best practices for system administration, database management, and networking.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Develop and manage budgets for infrastructure, cloud services, and licensing.

Operational & Technical

• Ensure high availability and performance of Windows/Linux servers, databases, and network infrastructure.
• Oversee deployment and management of Kubernetes clusters for containerized workloads.
• Drive automation, monitoring, and observability practices across infrastructure and cloud services.
• Implement and maintain security controls, compliance standards, and data protection measures.
• Coordinate incident response, problem resolution, and root cause analysis for infrastructure-related issues.

Team Leadership

• Mentor and develop team leads and technical specialists in server, networking, cloud, Kubernetes, and database domains.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the IT infrastructure teams.
• Provide training and growth opportunities to build internal expertise across emerging technologies.

Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 3+ years in a managerial/leadership role.
• Proven experience managing multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Oracle).
• Strong background in Windows/Linux server administration, networking, Kubernetes, and enterprise databases.

Technical Competencies

• Expertise in virtualization (Proxmox, KVM, VMware, Hyper-V), storage, and backup solutions.
• Strong knowledge of database platforms (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, MySQL, CouchDB).
• Experience with Kubernetes (on-prem and cloud-managed).
• Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines).
• Understanding of IT security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Benchmarks).

Leadership & Soft Skills

• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead diverse technical teams and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and crisis management capabilities.

• Infrastructure uptime and reliability (SLA adherence).
