Job Overview:
We are hiring a skilled and experienced
Scrap Procurement Manager
with a strong background in sourcing and procuring copper scrapfrom international markets
, especiallyAfrica, the Middle East, and other regions outside the UAE
. This role requires excellent negotiation skills, supplier management, and deep understanding of the global scrap trade.Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategies for sourcing and procuring copper scrap from outside the UAE.
Identify, negotiate, and manage relationships with international scrap suppliers.
Ensure competitive pricing, consistent quality, and reliable delivery timelines.
Analyse market trends, pricing, and supply availability in targeted regions.
Oversee import documentation, contracts, compliance, and logistics coordination.
Collaborate with internal teams including quality control, logistics, and finance.
Travel internationally as required for supplier visits, trade shows, and negotiations.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum
5-10 years of experience
in buying metal scrap from international markets.Strong
supplier network
in Africa, the Middle East, and other export-oriented regions.In-depth knowledge of
import procedures, Incoterms, customs regulations
, and international trade documentation.Proven
negotiation and contract management
experience.Ability to
work under pressure and meet procurement targets
.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency
in English
.Knowledge of
Russian language
is an added advantage.Candidates with experience working in leading metal scrap trading companies are preferred
