About the role




As Manager AMOS Competence Centre (ACC), you will Establish and lead the AMOS Centre of Excellence within MRO Division. You will be responsible for overseeing the governance, strategy, and ongoing optimisation of AMOS (Aircraft Maintenance & Engineering System) across Qatar Airways' CAMO and MRO Divisions. Responsible for safe, efficient, and standardised use of AMOS, alignment of digital solutions in compliance to the regulatory requirements, business needs, and Qatar Airways' commitment to technical excellence. Establish a high-performance team to champion digital transformation, process harmonisation, and knowledge sharing across all technical operations, while supporting our renowned team spirit and customer-focused ethos.


Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:


Lead the AMOS Centre of Excellence as the core authority for AMOS governance, strategy, best practice and innovation in CAMO and MRO at Qatar Airways. Develop and enforce a comprehensive AMOS vision for Technical, balancing standardisation with operational needs and promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous learning. Drive the implementation of AMOS best practices and optimise workflows in line with Swiss-AS recommendations and Qatar Airways' technical and safety standards. Serve as principal liaison between Technical stakeholders (Engineering, Planning, Line & Base Maintenance, Supply Chain, Quality, Compliance, IT, and Finance) for all AMOS-related transformation projects. Lead harmonisation and digital transformation initiatives - including AMOS Mobile, eTLB, advanced reporting & analytics, and integration with critical business systems (e.g., SAP, BI, Skywise, Aviatar). Support regulatory compliance by ensuring AMOS aligns with QCAR, EASA, FAA, and Qatar Airways safety systems. Promote process improvement and digital adoption within multicultural teams across a 24/7 operation. Manage AMOS data governance, user access, business intelligence, and system optimisation, eliminating data silos and improving audit readiness. Oversee change, training, documentation, and end-user support to ensure a seamless experience and continuous improvement. Monitor performance, adoption, and ROI of AMOS enhancements, providing regular insights and recommendations to senior leadership. Represent Qatar Airways in discussions with Swiss-AS, industry user groups, and airline alliances to champion our interests and best practice sharing. Foster an open, collaborative, and inclusive environment that recognises every team member's contribution to our technical, safety and service commitment. Ensure monthly AMOS stakeholder meeting occurs and its minutes recorded. Maintain the required staff levels to perform the functions of the ACC. Ensure AMOS upgrades are installed within the agreed timeframe with the Stakeholders. Maintain ownership of the regulatory reporting requirements of AMOS to the QCAA and other departments. Manage the ACC cost center budget and report on any discrepancies. Implement continuous improvements to AMOS and the integrated systems in line with the stakeholders directives.

Qualifications



About you




The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:


High School / Vocational Qualification / Diploma plus minimum 9 years of relevant job-related experience; or Bachelor Degree or equivalent plus minimum 8 years of relevant job-related experience
Preferred skills and experience:


Previous AMOS/TRAX, or equivalent, experience is essential. Team leadership/managerial experience. High-level cross-functional team management. Budget understanding / responsibilities and a high degree of computer/IT literacy (preferred) Aerospace, MRO/CAMO experience Excellent command of English language (spoken, written) Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members. An understanding of data structure used in maintenance engineering software. Knowledge and understanding of the regulatory requirements (EASA/FAA, or QCAA). Strategic technical leadership & project management. Strong cross-cultural communication and stakeholder engagement. Expert in process standardisation and digital best practice. Data- and results-driven, analytical thinker. Change agent with proven governance and policy implementation skills. Collaborative and resilient, with a passion for technical excellence.
