Job Description
The Assistant Engineer - IBS/DAS (In-Building Solutions / Distributed Antenna Systems) is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of indoor wireless coverage systems. This role involves site surveys, technical drawings, installation support, and troubleshooting to ensure seamless wireless service in complex indoor environments such as commercial buildings, malls, airports, and hospitals.
Key Responsibilities
:Assist in the planning, design, and deployment of IBS and DAS solutions. Conduct on-site RF surveys using tools such as TEMS, iBwave, or similar software. Prepare detailed technical drawings, layouts, and design documentation. Support installation and commissioning of RF systems including repeaters, antennas, and coaxial cable routing. Coordinate with civil and MEP teams during deployment. Perform acceptance testing (ATP), drive tests, and post-deployment optimization. Generate and maintain project documentation and reports. Provide technical support and troubleshooting during and after deployment. Ensure compliance with telecom standards, safety protocols, and local regulations.
