Job Summary

We are looking for an

Accountant

, preferably from

Kerala (Malayalam speaking),

with strong knowledge of construction and trading industry practices.

The role involves:

Managing day-to-day financial transactions Project costing and material tracking Preparing and monitoring client billing Ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulations Providing financial insights to support management in decision-making
Freshers with good accounting knowledge are also welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate accounting records, ledgers, and general accounts. Handle accounts payable and receivable, supplier invoices, and customer billing. Prepare project-based cost reports, including material, labor, and overhead allocation. Monitor and reconcile advances, deposits, and retention amounts with clients and subcontractors. Oversee payroll processing for site and office employees. Manage bank reconciliations, cash flow, and petty cash accounts. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. Support budget preparation, variance analysis, and project profitability reviews. Ensure compliance with tax filings, VAT, WPS, and statutory requirements. Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies. Recommend and implement process improvements for cost control and efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional certification (CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred. Minimum [X years] of accounting experience, preferably in

construction/trading industry

. Strong knowledge of project costing, billing, and inventory management. Proficiency in accounting software (Odoo, Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or equivalent). Advanced MS Excel skills for reporting and analysis. Excellent understanding of VAT, WPS, and local statutory requirements. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
