. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, and optimizing mechanical systems related to the production of resins and related materials. You will collaborate with the production team to ensure efficiency and safety in the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
:
Maintenance
: Maintain, and improve mechanical systems, process equipment, and machinery involved in resin production, such as reactors, mixing tanks, storage tanks, heat exchangers, gear box assembly, transfer pumps, different types of motors and different types of valves.
Process Optimization
: Analyze and optimize mechanical processes to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance.
Preventive Maintenance
: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for critical mechanical equipment to minimize production interruptions and reduce equipment wear and tear.
Troubleshooting and Repairs
: Quickly troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues in production systems to ensure smooth operations.
Collaboration with Teams
: Work closely with process engineers, quality control teams, and plant operators to identify opportunities for mechanical improvements and cost reduction in the resin production process.
Documentation and Reporting
: Create and maintain technical documentation, manuals, and maintenance logs. Prepare reports on mechanical performance, downtime, and system efficiency.
Qualifications
:
Bachelor's degree in
Mechanical Engineering
or Diploma in Mechanical or related field.
Minimum of
8 years
of experience working in a
mechanical engineering
role within the
resins, chemicals, polymer, pharma
or any chemical process industries.
Preferred Skills
:
Knowledge of chemical
processing
machineries.
Knowledge on
lean manufacturing
and continuous improvement techniques.
Familiarity with
PLC systems
, instrumentation, and automation in industrial settings.
In-depth knowledge of
mechanical systems, and processes
equipment
used in resin manufacturing, including vessels, tanks, pumps, compressors, and heating/cooling systems.
Proficiency in
CAD software
(SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) will be added advantage.
Compliance with
safety standards and regulations
in the resin and chemical industries.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
