Emerson is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our location in Dubai, UAE. The person selected for this role will perform routine and emergency maintenance on all production equipment under minimal supervision. An ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong background in mechanical and electrical repairs, trouble shooting, and general fabrication skills. The Maintenance Technician will report to the Engineering Manager and work with the Manufacturing Engineers.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on all tools and equipment in Shop Floor
• Handle Breakdowns and trouble shoot equipment
• Handle the calibrations on critical equipment and measuring devices.
• Perform basic facility safety checks and inspections.
• Maintain and update maintenance logs and records on all equipment.
• Schedule and co-ordinate outside service support as required.
• Follow maintenance procedures and update as needed.
• Support the Implementation of Safety Improvement Initiatives that require Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Works
• Responsible for Machine Installation, Fixture Installation, Modification, Layout Modifications.
• Communicate effectively with managers, supervisors, and coworkers.
• Work with engineering on both machine upgrades and new equipment installations.
• Maintain the recommended and critical spares of all Machineries.
• Handle the tool room material flow and ensure proper traceability of all tools and equipment.
• Co-ordinate the scheduled AMC Maintenance and Inspection of equipment by OEM
• Support the implementation of 5S and Lean initiatives in the factory.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted safely and in compliance with all plant and regulatory standards.
• Maintain a clean maintenance shop and repair area.
• Manage time effectively to perform critical tasks.

Basic Qualifications

• Diploma Degree or ITI Graduate
• At least 5 years of experience in Plant Maintenance
• Hands-on experience in doing electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and plumbing works
• Fabrication skills - Drilling, Grinding, Cutting, Soldering
• Read and interpret mechanical, and electrical drawings, P&ID, and schematics as well as technical manuals.
• Has done Lifting and Rigging Training. Ability to lift components using Crane.
• Ability to communicate in English both written and verbal.
• IT Skills - MS Office, MS Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Machining Skills - Turning, Milling, Drilling
• Welding Skills
• Forklift Driving License
• Experience in hydraulic and pneumatic circuits
