of Maintenance Technicians (5 Nos)

Maintenance Technicians shall: Carry out regular inspections, check-ups on equipment owned by QatarEnergy and provided for the purpose of services. Carry out preventive maintenance of equipment on a weekly, monthly, three-monthly, six-monthly, and yearly basis at the response bases and stockpiles, according to QatarEnergy instructions and preventive maintenance schedule. Carry out breakdown maintenance of equipment, as and when required by QatarEnergy. Refurbishment of oil spill equipment as and when required by QatarEnergy. Assist in commissioning of oil spill equipment, as and when required by QatarEnergy. Assist with the mobilization and demobilization of equipment during oil spill response operations, drills, equipment familiarizations, and operational exercises, which includes rigging and Slinging activities. Completion of required records and reports required by QatarEnergy. Take an active part in Toolbox talks, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), risk assessment, and any other safety duty they are deemed capable of by the QatarEnergy Base Supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience: Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required are: Have a valid technical certification as a Diesel mechanic technician (3 years Bachelor of Engineering Degree study) attested by the official authorities. Capable to read and understand the technical manuals in the English language. Have proven experience in the maintenance and overhauling of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, fitting, turning, and fabrication. Read electrical, architectural, and mechanical diagrams, drawings, or specifications to determine job requirements. Test for, locate, and repair electrical malfunctions. Capable of installing insulated cables and connect switches, outlets, and other fittings; connect circuit breakers, transformers, motors, heaters, and other electrical components in the engines. Completed the H2S training, T-BOSIET, Basic Rigging & Slinging, and Safety Courses related to working offshore/ Onshore. Have minimum of five (05) years maintenance experience working with diesel engines, marine engines, and oil spillage response-related equipment. Have good computer skills and can write reports. Physically fit and able to swim and have a valid Offshore medical fitness certificate.
