The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of elevators to ensure their safe and efficient operation. This role requires a strong understanding of elevator systems, mechanical components, and electrical systems. Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on elevators to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot elevator malfunctions, identify the root cause of issues, and implement effective solutions.
- Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components.
- Conduct regular testing of elevator systems, including emergency brakes, safety devices, and control systems, to ensure proper functionality.
- Respond promptly to service calls and emergency situations to address elevator malfunctions and minimize downtime.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, service reports, and inventory of spare parts.
- Collaborate with other maintenance technicians, engineers, and management to implement improvements and upgrades to elevator systems.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and safety standards related to elevator maintenance.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in elevator maintenance is preferred.
- Proven experience as an Elevator Maintenance Technician with a minimum of 2 years in the field.
- Strong knowledge of elevator systems, mechanical components, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting elevator systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work at heights.
