Job Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department. This includes supervising maintenance staff, coordinating repair and preventive maintenance work, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining equipment and facility standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians and contractors. Plan, prioritize, assign, and monitor maintenance and repair work orders. Perform inspections of facilities and equipment to identify and resolve issues. Ensure equipment and systems are maintained in compliance with safety and operational standards. Coordinate scheduled preventive maintenance activities and maintain related records. Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and spare parts. Ensure all maintenance activities follow company policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA). Train, mentor, and evaluate maintenance staff performance. Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner. Manage maintenance budgets and prepare reports as needed.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred. Proven experience as a maintenance technician, with at least 2-5 years in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using maintenance management systems (CMMS) and basic computer software.

Working Conditions:

Work may involve physical labor, exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and extreme temperatures. Must be available for emergency calls and occasional weekend.
