Job Description

Job duties:

A maintenance manager oversees an organization's facilities and equipment, managing staff, schedules, budgets, and safety protocols to ensure efficient operation and minimize downtime. Key duties include planning preventive maintenance, performing inspections, supervising repairs, training employees, coordinating vendors, and ensuring compliance with regulations to maintain physical assets.

Responsibilities:

Train and supervise employees of the maintenance department

Negotiate contracts with outside vendors for execution of maintenance work

Ensure operational efficiency of electrical equipment and mechanical systems through timely inspection and repair

Implement workplace safety policies and standards.

Supervise the condition of all the equipment in the establishment and the potential upgrades and maintenance it might need as a preventive maintenance plan

Manage the budgets of the maintenance plans, and ensure that everything is in line with legal and safety regulations

Recognize areas of improvement in the facilities maintenance jobs in hand and their processes.

Supervising and leading all maintenance processes and operations.

Tracking expenses and overseeing the budget for maintenance.

Maintaining all machinery to ensure it's at working standards.

Creating and implementing maintenance procedures.

Conducting regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems.

Planning and managing all repair and installation activities.

Assigning repair schedules and evaluating repair cost estimates.

Documenting and preparing daily progress reports and maintenance logs.

Overseeing equipment stock and placing orders for new supplies when necessary.

Check electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality

Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities

Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance

Manage relationships with contractors and service providers

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or a similar discipline

Prior experience working as a maintenance manager, repair manager, or in a related role

Experience in dealing with budgets, schedules and reporting in terms of maintenance work

Knowledge of equipment and facilities machines
