Overview:

An experienced and highly organized Maintenance Manager is sought to oversee the care, upkeep, and smooth operation of a private estate/residence. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with a strong background in facility maintenance, a proactive mindset, and the ability to manage vendors, staff, and household systems with discretion and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the general maintenance and repair of the residence and all associated systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, security, landscaping, etc.). Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance checks. Coordinate and supervise external vendors, contractors, and service technicians. Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, warranties, and repair logs. Ensure all household systems are operating efficiently and safely. Assist with seasonal property preparations (e.g., winterization, storm readiness). Manage household inventory for tools, supplies, and parts. Provide hands-on repairs and troubleshooting when necessary. Support special events and guests as required, including setup and breakdown. Communicate regularly with the estate manager and/or principals regarding ongoing maintenance plans and issues.

Requirements:

Proven experience (5+ years preferred) in residential or hospitality property maintenance or facility management. Strong working knowledge of home systems: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, landscaping, security, and smart home technologies. Excellent project management and organizational skills. High attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving attitude. Discreet, trustworthy, and respectful of privacy and confidentiality. Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including occasional evenings/weekends. Valid driver's license; background check required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience working in private households or luxury estate settings. Technical certifications or licenses in relevant trades (e.g., electrician, HVAC technician). Basic knowledge of building codes, OSHA regulations, and home automation systems.
