Magento 2 Developer

to help maintain, improve, and scale it.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced

Magento 2 Developer

to take technical ownership of our site and support its continued growth. This is a

remote, contract-based role

, ideal for someone who is proactive, independent, and confident delivering high-quality Magento work with minimal oversight.

Our store is built using the

HYVA theme

, with a strong focus on speed, SEO, and UX. You'll be responsible for ensuring the platform remains fast, stable, secure, and ready for ongoing scale.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and optimise our

Magento 2 (HYVA-based)

website for speed, stability, and SEO Develop and troubleshoot

custom modules

,

themes

, and integrations Manage

Magento upgrades

,

security patches

, and

performance tuning

Handle integrations with

payment gateways

,

shipping APIs

,

CRM

, and analytics tools Collaborate with SEO and marketing teams to implement

technical SEO enhancements

Manage

Git-based deployments

, with oversight of our

Cloudways-hosted CI/CD pipeline

Monitor

Core Web Vitals

and deliver improvements to frontend speed and UX Troubleshoot bugs, server issues, and Magento indexing or caching problems as needed

Requirements

3+ years of professional experience in

Magento 2 development

Strong knowledge of

HYVA theme

and modern frontend performance optimisation Proficient in

PHP

,

MySQL

,

HTML

,

CSS

, and

JavaScript

Experience with

Magento CLI

,

composer

,

Git

, and

Cloudways

(or similar hosting) Familiarity with

Elasticsearch

,

Redis/Varnish caching

, and

Magento indexing

Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and meet deadlines in a

remote setup

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to writing clean, efficient code

Nice to Have

Magento Certification (Associate or Developer Plus) Experience with

Familiarity with

(e.g., VAT handling, GDPR)
