Job Description

To carry our machine operations work both on-board of vessels or ashore as per the work instructions in order to meet clients and yards requirement and deliver projects/products on time.

Key Accountabilities: Operate bending machine, Pyramid rollers, Roll press upto 200 ton capacity, CNC gas cutting machine, drilling machine, grinding machine, CNC profile cutting machines, shearing machine, flange press, cold saw and punching machine. Check materials prior to use to ensure they meet required standards and report damages when required. Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner. Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment. Perform other related duties or assignments as directed. Prevent wastage of materials and welding consumable and report ant malfunction of toolds and machinery to immediate supervisor. Maintains machine and reports any problems of the machine immediately to the supervisors. This also includes practicing of the good housekeeping. Takes initiative to pursue self-development through on-job-training/education. Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job.

Qualifications: ITI / Apprentice certificate Hands on experience in any of the machines mentioned above.

Experience: A minimum of three years experience as Machine Operator in similar industry. 2 years minimum experience in heavy steel fabrication shops.

Language Skills: Working knowledge of English language and ability to understand drawings. Technical Competencies. Knowledge and experience in Shipyard or a similar fabrication facility.
