The Waiter/Waitress is responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The role requires a positive attitude, good communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities Guest Service
Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
Present menus, answer questions, and provide recommendations when needed.
Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar.
Serve food and drinks promptly and professionally.
Ensure guest satisfaction by checking on tables regularly and addressing concerns.
Operations
Set up the restaurant before service (tables, cutlery, condiments, etc.).
Clear tables and maintain cleanliness throughout the service.
Prepare and process guest bills accurately.
Follow opening and closing procedures of the outlet.
Standards & Hygiene
Follow all safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines.
Maintain personal grooming and uniform standards at all times.
Ensure proper handling and presentation of food and beverages.
Teamwork
Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Assist team members during busy periods.
Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff.
Qualifications & Skills
Previous experience in F&B service is an advantage.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Positive attitude, friendly personality, and willingness to learn.
Ability to work under pressure and during peak hours.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Basic knowledge of POS systems is an advantage.
