The Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the company's supply chain operations to ensure efficient movement, distribution, and storage of goods. This role involves planning logistics, maintaining records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and optimizing procedures to improve delivery accuracy, reduce costs, and support operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations including shipping, transportation, and warehousing.
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and materials.
Communicate with suppliers, freight companies, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
Track shipments and address any issues or delays proactively.
Maintain accurate records of logistics activities, inventory, and delivery schedules.
Prepare and analyze logistics reports to support performance improvement.
Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and safety standards.
Optimize logistics procedures to minimize costs and improve efficiency.
Use logistics software and Excel tools to manage data and generate reports.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Logistics Specialist or similar role.
Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and logistics practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and logistics management systems.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
