We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize our Logistic operations within our fertilizer manufacturing company based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of logistic management in the manufacturing industry, particularly within the agricultural or chemical sectors. This role requires strategic thinking, leadership, and a commitment to ensuring the efficient flow of materials and products from suppliers to customers. Roles & Responsibilities:Procurement and Sourcing: Manage procurement activities, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management. Ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply of raw materials and components.
Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods, to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing holding costs.
Production Planning: Collaborate with production teams to create production plans that meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization.
Demand Forecasting: Implement forecasting techniques to predict demand accurately, allowing for efficient inventory planning and production scheduling.
Logistics and Distribution: Coordinate logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure timely delivery of products to customers while minimizing costs.
Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, and ensuring a steady supply of quality materials.
Quality Control: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to establish and maintain quality standards for incoming materials and finished products.
Cost Management: Continuously analyze and identify cost-saving opportunities within the supply chain, striving for improved efficiency and reduced operational expenses.
Compliance and Regulations: Ensure that all supply chain activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including environmental and safety standards.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including disruptions due to geopolitical factors, natural disasters, or other unforeseen events.
Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly monitor and report on supply chain performance to senior management.
Eligibility Criteria:
Bachelor\'s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; Master\'s degree is a plus.
Proven experience in logistics, preferably in the fertilizer manufacturing, agricultural, or chemical industries.
Strong knowledge of logistics best practices, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics.
Proficiency in logistic / Supply Chain software and ERP systems.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Leadership experience and the ability to motivate and manage a team.
Familiarity with UAE and international regulations related to supply chain and logistics trade is advantageous.
