Logistics Management Specialist (SWA Bn TPE)

Work in Kuwait is contingent upon the applicant's ability to obtain a work permit from the State of Kuwait, which is requested on the applicant's behalf by their employer. Effective January 1, 2021, the Kuwait Public Authority of Manpower issued new work permit regulations, informing contractors that it will not issue a work permit to any individual who is fifty-nine (59) years or older and holds a high school grade certificate or less. A two-year college degree or higher is required for all candidates fifty-nine (59) years or older. See Administrative Decision No. (520) of 2020 AD - Amendment to the Administrative Decision No. (552) of 2018 on Issuing the Work Permit Regulations.

Assists in property management program activities to ensure continuous accountability of government and company property in accordance with applicable government regulations and corporate policy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with material management actions; update material management records; Maintain asset visibility and equipment redistribution; Provide the work using the organic or subordinate unit facilities; Attend, conduct briefings, meetings, and workshops; prepare/submit reports; Assist with inventories; assist with data cleanup; assist rebuild PBO; Assist with the redistribution of excess inventory with redistribution, turn-ins, and found on installation along with inventories; assist units with preparation for deployment, change of command inventories, and special inventories; Provide system integration with GCSS-A and FAAST; provide assistance to the supported units, reconciling hand receipts, cataloging property, maintaining property book records, managing inventories, lateral transfers, and the management of excess property. Assist with IUID markings of equipment.

Education:

AA or AS degree. An additional (two) 2 years of experience (above the experience requirements) may be substituted.

US Citizenship and SECRET security clearance required. These positions are required to work within a secure ARCENT facility and utilize ECOP and other classified materials.

Experience:

Minimum of (six) 6 years of experience providing logistics support for major systems.

A minimum of (four) 4 years Army property book accounting experience, of which a minimum of two (2) years automated experience using the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army) system, is required

Functional experience in Army logistics information systems including the Force and Asset Search Tool (FAAST), Force Management System Web Site (FMSWeb), Logistics Information Warehouse (LIW), Logistics Data Analysis Tool (LogDAT) must be demonstrated.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

In-depth knowledge of US Army logistics programs, concepts, methodologies, and relationships pertaining to supply /property book accountability and logistics operations.

Thorough understanding and knowledge of inventory management required.

Knowledge of U.S. Army inventory management accounting systems.

Ability to work effectively with employees and management of all levels to include; multinational staff, superiors and ranking military officers.

Ability to prioritize responsibilities to accommodate a demanding workload.

Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy is required.

Intermediate proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook applications is required.

Certification & License:

GCSS-Army Certificate required.

Valid driver's license required.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.

Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
