Job Overview TE Connectivity's Distribution & Logistics Teams manage the efficient flow of goods, services and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements or internal business objectives. They create integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing and logistics, and outside suppliers. They also focus resources on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through various production processes, and establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis.

Short Description

Place purchase orders and manage scheduling agreements with TE production sites in Europe to ensure on-time delivery of finished goods and sellable components according to customer request dates. Actively manage intercompany orders by adjusting based on changing customer delivery expectations. Support Operations in ensuring material availability, arrange special shipments when necessary, and manage the execution of delivery notes. Initiate action plans to prevent material shortages, involving other team members and functions as appropriate. Manage allocation issues arising from limited output from manufacturing plants or suppliers due to capacity constraints. Proactively eliminate the risk of material shortages and optimize phase in/phase out planning. Provide accurate weekly/monthly forecasts to suppliers and schedule orders appropriately. Actively contribute to optimizing the supply chain. Develop strong relationships with both intercompany and external suppliers. Participate in projects to optimize inventory holdings. Ensure Morocco warehouse stock levels are maintained correctly to meet customer needs and minimize the risk of stock-outs or non stock movements.

What your background should look like:

A Bachelor or Masters degree majoring in material management or logistics is preferred A professional qualification in materials management (e.g. APICS) is preferred A Black or Green belt qualification related to quality systems is beneficial Consideration will be given to non graduates provided they can demonstrate significant in-depth knowledge of materials management processes Previous work experience in a materials management position preferably within the automotive supplier industry (e.g. with a Tier 1 or 2 supplier) is essential A minimum of 5 years materials management experience is required Supervisory experience and prior experience of leading projects would be of benefit Extensive knowledge of SAP (especially PP and Purchasing modules) Excellent experience of Microsoft tools (advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and preferably knowledge of databases e.g. Access Fluent in English and French (other languages an advantage) Flexible and results oriented Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience of working in an international environment Experience of working with Vendors Some knowledge of customer service and transportation options Excellent project management skills and able to meet tight deadlines A self starter able to manage projects and interact with colleagues based in other locations or countries
