Logistics Coordinator
Location: Hamriyah Free Zone, Sharjah, UAE

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic team immediately. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of relevant experience and will be responsible for coordinating the end-to-end supply chain activities, ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods. This role is crucial for maintaining smooth operations and requires a proactive individual with strong knowledge of UAE customs regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Shipment Coordination: Plan, organize, and manage the shipment of goods from origin to destination via air, sea, and land freight.
  • Documentation Management: Prepare, check, and process all necessary shipping and customs documentation accurately and in a timely manner (e.g., Bills of Lading, Air Waybills, Certificates of Origin, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists).
  • Customs Clearance: Liaise with customs brokers and authorities to ensure smooth and compliant clearance of shipments, adhering to UAE customs procedures and regulations.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal teams. Provide regular updates on shipment status and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Tracking and Monitoring: Monitor the progress of shipments in transit and keep all stakeholders informed of any delays or changes.
  • Data Management: Utilize ERP software (such as Tally) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) to maintain accurate records, update shipment statuses, generate reports, and manage logistics data.
  • Cost Control: Assist in comparing freight quotes, verifying invoices, and ensuring cost-effective logistics solutions.
  • Compliance: Ensure all logistics activities comply with company policies, UAE labor law, and international trade regulations.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Age: Maximum 30 years old (as per company policy).
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years of proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator, Freight Forwarder, or in a similar supply chain role within the UAE.
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel skills for data analysis are highly desirable).
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems; specific knowledge of Tally software is a significant advantage.
  • Industry Knowledge:
  • In-depth knowledge of UAE customs clearance procedures, documentation, and regulations is essential.
  • Understanding of Incoterms and international shipping practices.
  • Personal Skills:
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving attitude with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus.
