We are looking for a dedicated Logistics Co-ordinator to be part of our Supply Chain team and who will contribute to the important work we do in having the responsibility to co-ordinate effective and efficient transportation of materials across the UAE whilst using SAP as our major ERP platform.
Based at our office in Dubai you will report to the Procurement Manager and be involved in everyday tasks and projects bringing a dynamic and interesting workday.
Tasks and Responsibilities
In this role, you will work both independently and in cooperation with others. The following tasks and projects can be expected:
Handling port customs, port authorization, and customs clearance for incoming and outgoing shipments (including services, new supplies, and personnel)
Coordinating with Dubai Municipality (water and ration), SIRA (pyrotechnics), DCAA, GCAA, and freight agents
Arranging port passes, NOC, CID clearance, gate passes, and BOE for drivers and service engineers across UAE ports (Abu Dhabi, Fujairah, Dubai, etc.)
Communicating with vessel agents, vessel owners, customers, drivers, service planners, and sales coordinators regarding deliveries and collections, with availability on a 24/7 basis
Preparing and processing BOE for import shipments (including Class 1 DG) via Dubai Trade and Calogi for international incoming shipments (sea and air)
Preparing export shipment documentation
Managing local transportation for vendor collections and deliveries, as well as staff pick-up and drop-off schedules
Handling vehicle registration, inspections (Dubai and Abu Dhabi), and vehicle renewals with RTA and relevant authorities
Your profile
The successful candidate:
Has previous experience in material-handling, planning and optimizing logistical processes
Has knowledge of MS Office and experience with ERP systems (SAP preferably)
Is a responsive team player
Has customer oriented working approach
You will work closely with other departments and colleagues, therefore you need to be good communicator and has collaboration skills. On a personal level you are analytical thinker, self - motivated, positive and precise.
Since our corporate language is English, you have very good English skills - both written and orally.
