Job Description

The Logistics and Transportation Coordinator will manage day-to-day transportation logistics, schedule and monitor deliveries, and ensure goods move efficiently from point A to point B. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is ready to jump in immediately.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinate the dispatching, routing, and tracking of delivery vehicles Schedule pickups and deliveries based on customer requirements and service standards Monitor driver routes, update shipment statuses, and ensure on-time delivery Serve as a point of contact for drivers, clients, and internal departments Maintain clear communication with transportation providers and delivery personnel Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, safety protocols, and company policies Resolve transportation issues such as delays, damages, or route changes Prepare and manage accurate shipping documents, bills of lading, and delivery receipts Assist in route optimization and cost-saving initiatives Use logistics software or tracking tools to manage shipment information Monitor inventory movement and assist in warehouse coordination as needed Maintain daily reports and documentation for all transportation activities

Qualifications:

1-2 years of experience in logistics or transportation, specifically with a delivery company

High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or certification in logistics a plus Immediate availability is

strongly preferred

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and logistics/transport software Strong knowledge of local and regional delivery routes and shipping practices Excellent time-management and organizational skills Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks Strong communication and problem-solving skills Knowledge of shipping documentation and compliance standards
