The Logistic Specialist will prepare shipment documentation for shipments to customers and/or vendors and work in various customer websites and/or systems for arranging pickup or posting shipments and ensure that the warehouse is operating at optimal levels with customer satisfaction as the primary objective by supervising, organizing, leading and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring and managing operational goals. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
Monitors inventory in shipping and works with production planning to ensure parts are shipped in a timely manner
Prepares documentation for parts to customers and miscellaneous shipments
Prepares bills of lading and air bills
Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency.
Complies with Import/Export (IMEX) rules and regulations for shipment of product overseas.
Ensures compliance with ITAR-International Traffic and Arms Regulations.
Develop a warehouse management system by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, receiving and shipping processes
Train and manage a warehouse team to resolve daily operational issues and achieve short and long term performance goals.
Oversee daily operations, while controlling and managing inventory and logistics.
Review and prepare work flow, staffing and space requirements, equipment layout and action plans, while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations and company standards.
Oversee daily warehouse operations including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping and customer service
Schedule and supervise the warehouse team to meet production demands, and manage work flow and quality to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime.
Maintain inventories according to company procedures to avoid discrepancies.
Meet regularly with warehouse management to review, analyze and develop action plans for productivity and loss prevention.
Oversee and manage the internal logistics used within the warehouse, communicating with other departments to ensure goals are met.
Other duties assigned as needed
Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management
First experience in supply chain department in manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Proficient in MRP Systems
Bi-lingual english/french
