Adecco is hiring for Logistic Specialist for a leading client in UAE .

Job Location : Dubai
Job type: 6 months contract

Job Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and improve global tracking process for the international shipments and communicate to the Global business Leaders.
  • Partner with Client project managers to ensure all logistics activities related to the customer projects and meet expected shipping dates and related financial objectives.
  • Independently resolve matters with Freight Forwarders / Customs Brokers and Logistics / supply teams globally, to include but not limited to insurance concerns, regulatory requirements and impacts, fees, schedules.
  • Support Business Customs Strategy + metric/target setting and provide oversight of implementations and rollout plans & Monitor and provide training and communications regarding SOP\'s (Site Operating Procedures) and customs compliance (site level)
  • Ensure regulatory and internal compliance to Client polices including leading Governance Audits in coordination with the Client Global policies.
  • Receive and validate information from global Logistics / supply coordinators to ensure Accurate shipping documents are created for international shipping.
  • Handle technical details relating to possibly international transportation, such as customs regulations and any necessary documentations.
  • Ensure that the proper documentations are being supplied to required customs agencies in accordance with local customs requirements and that required permissions are being obtained prior to shipping
  • Analyse and communicate shipment metrics, identify trends, and anomalies, identify and recommend improvement opportunities.
  • Perform risk assessments and collaborating with the business to implement risk mitigation and corrective actions as needed.
  • Managing Receiving the goods from suppliers, arrangement of inspection by end user and to deal with inspection related issues i.e. quantity and quality, late or in time delivery etc. in accordance with respective PO\' s.
  • Responsible for the warehousing & inventory management deployment (stock control / material receipt / annual stock take / logistics support) and create a material management for detailed data capture of shipments information to include data such as location and status of all material items. & Ensure availability of all items which appear in stock record
  • Ensure that all inventory items are kept in their original packing at their designated place, properly labelled / tagged by storekeeper in such a manner that they can be identified without hunting.
  • Review the material mobilization data\xe2\x80\xa6 and weekly reports, escalate concerns to upper management.
  • Design and govern reverse logistics supply chain in line with local regulations.
  • Maintain Quality and Regulatory procedures for local Logistics operations.
Competencies & skills:
  • Material & Logistics management for at least 3 years of experience
  • International regulations
  • Warehouse Management
  • Movement of dangerous goods IMDG
  • Broad Knowledge of Drilling & Well Services operations
  • Transportation of on shore & offshore cargo
  • SAP ERP User
