Job Description
Construction Logistics Manager oversees the entire flow of materials, equipment, and people for a building project, ensuring the
right things get to the right place at the right time and cost-effectively
, managing site storage, supplier relations, compliance, and coordinating across procurement, project management, and site teams to keep projects on schedule and within budget. Key ResponsibilitiesSupply Chain Management
: Manage the end-to-end supply chain, from sourcing materials to delivery, ensuring timely arrival and quality.Site Operations
: Control movement of goods, equipment, and personnel on-site, and manage site facilities and storage areas.Coordination
: Work closely with Project Managers, Procurement, Finance, and Senior Site Managers to align logistics with project goals.Inventory & Warehouse
: Maintain accurate stock levels, manage inventory, and ensure organized storage.Compliance & Risk
: Ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and company standards, plus develop risk mitigation plans.Cost & Efficiency
: Implement strategies to reduce costs and improve logistical efficiency, often using data analysis.Essential Skills
Strong understanding of construction processes and supply chain. Leadership, team management, and communication skills. Analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency with logistics software and MS Office. Negotiation skills for managing suppliers and vendors.
