JOB OVERVIEW: At Electra we need talented people that will share our strategy to be the obvious contracting partner for local & international players who wish to set up an event within the GCC.Under the guidance of Fleet Supervisor, Electra Driver will have to manage all the material delivery, collections, fleet condition and Manpower transfers. MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES :

• Driver should be well-dressed (ensure that uniform is neatly washed and wear safety shoes always)
• He should report to his duty on time as per schedule given by his superior
• Driver must be polite and courteous to all the client, seniors and co-workers
• Vehicle must be inspected as per \xe2\x80\x98daily vehicle check list\xe2\x80\x99 and the inspection report should be filled-up before taking vehicle out from the camp/ yard
• Driver should ensure that the Salik gates are used only when required. Look for alternative routes when there is no urgency
• Timely vehicle maintenance is one of the important tasks of driver. So, inform any defects or service due to his Supervisor
• Know your vehicle renewal due date and inform supervisor for renewal
• Ensure vehicle brakes, clutch, lights, mirrors etc are always adjusted properly.

Any faults to be reported to supervisor or workshop immediately

• Fuel levels should be checked on daily basis. Re-fuelling of the vehicle should be carried out immediately & promptly before the vehicle use
• Driver should always use Company provided VIP system for the purpose of re- fuelling and inform Superior if VIP tag is not affixed or functioning
• Driver is also responsible for optimization of vehicle fuel consumption. Should ensure best utilization of company vehicle to save fuel cost
• Driver should know their vehicle dimensions and load limit and monitor their every loading if it is safe or unsafe. Also inform superior immediately for load discrepancies an example: Transport booked 3Ton but load is only 1Ton which is not a good \xe2\x80\x93 hence, assume load 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%. This must be monitored and reported to superior immediately with pics or message
• Be alert and follow site safety rules i.e. wear safety shoe, safety helmets, know parking lots and should aware of tobacco & smoking zones and etc. Driver should not use tobacco or smoke inside the vehicle
• Driving company vehicle after consuming alcohol is against the UAE LAW.

Disciplinary action will be taken if anyone found driving at work under the influence of illegal and regulated subsistence. He should not drive the vehicle if he consumes alcohol in any social gathering.

• Inform supervisor immediately for any traffic violations, on-road breakdowns and accidents
• Ensure the vehicle\xe2\x80\x99s load is safe and securely fasten before taking them to the road. Ensure loading materials & documents are checked and signed.
• Remember, drivers are not allowed to carry any unauthorized passengers in company vehicle
• During driving on road, RTA rules must be followed and following are few important points:

\xe2\x9e\xa2 Follow road speed limit \xe2\x80\x93 Speeding is contributing factor in 80% of crashes in Dubai. Driving too fast or too slow cause an accident.
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Obey all traffic signs and markings
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Never try to beat traffic lights
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Fasten your seat belt always during driving
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Do not use mobile phones while driving for calls, SMS or chatting (use headphones or Bluetooth for emergency)
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Do not drive under influence of drugs and alcohol
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Plan your trip in advance. Allow enough time to reach your destination \xe2\x80\x93 do not rush. Be aware of the routes to the destination well in advance.
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Proactively keep up-to-date information about the newest routes, roadworks and road closures, events at prominent destinations and diversions in the routes, if any. \xe2\x9e\xa2 Allow enough space between you and the vehicle in front - DO NOT tailgate
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Watch for vehicle entering road ahead, changing lane and turning
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Realize the dangers of fatigue and don\xe2\x80\x99t drive if you are tired or sick

• Drivers should not keep themselves engaged on long phone calls during working hours
• Should always carry valid UAE driving license, EID and vehicle reg. card along
• Ensure the vehicle is kept clean from inside and outside. Avoid any interior or exterior decorations other than RTA requirements. Good if vehicle is equipped with the following:

\xe2\x9e\xa2 Pen & notepad
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Emergency telephone number list \xe2\x9e\xa2 Safety kits and tools
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Spare tyre
\xe2\x9e\xa2 Fire extinguisher and triangular GENERAL OBLIGATIONS TOWARDS OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND
SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL:

• You will correctly use machinery, appliances, tools, transport, and all equipment issued by the company.
• Maintain vehicle fuel consumption and avoid unnecessary vehicle idling.
• You will correctly use personal protective equipment supplied by the company and ensure it complies throughout the department employees.
• You will neither remove any safety devices from any vehicles nor installations.
• You will perform all tasks set forth by safety regulations and cooperate with Electra to ensure a working environment and conditions that do not pose any risks in terms of health and safety.
• You are obliged to follow the company\xe2\x80\x99s recycling process, hence, proper disposable of office consumables to help the environment is a must.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

• Number of years of Experience: 2-3 Years as Driver in UAE Should know road & RTA rules (Preferably from Event or Construction industry)
• Certification: Should know road & RTA rules
• Education: High School degree or Equivalent
• Language: English, Hindi/Urdu, and Arabic is an advantage

TECHNICAL & FUNCTIONAL SKILLS:

• License holder # 3/5/6
• Good Knowledge of road ban/ RTA rules and regulation of UAE
• Basic Knowledge of Vehicle mechanical issues
• Strong understanding of compliance and risk management.

OTHER SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Quick decision making & work well under stress in a fast-paced environment, urgent deliveries/ collections.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.

ADDITIONAL INFO:

• Should be able to work on weekends and late hours.
• Should be able to travel within any GCC country to attend duties.
