We are seeking a Liver Diseases Therapeutic Specialist in our Liver, Invasive Fungal Infections and COVID-19 commercial organization supporting further growth of our well-established HBV and HCV business in UAE to be based in Dubai.
In this role you will be the key contributor in our Liver business in UAE, providing patients and healthcare professionals access to this innovative treatment. We are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic about our patient-centric approach and expert in discussing and explaining the characteristics and benefits of our treatment(s) in a highly scientific and dynamic healthcare environment.
This role will report to the Business Unit Director for Liver, Invasive Fungal Infections and COVID-19.
Specific Responsibilities
  • Prepare business plan for your territory, communicate required actions to achieve goals.
  • Responsible for identifying and mapping out patient referral pathways within your territory and facilitating patient access to treatment.
  • Establish and develop business relationships with key customers, accounts, and relevant key opinion leaders. Responsible for setting and achieving customer contact plans and delivering on related KPIs.
  • May represent company at professional events and promote company products at such events.
  • Work co-operatively with the brand team Medical, Marketing and Market Access on various cross-functional projects.
  • Assist in the identification and resolution of issues and opportunities, communicate proactively to management.
  • Complete necessary administrative tasks in a timely manner e.g., updating customer database, expenses etc.
  • Responsible for achieving the competency levels required in the role.
  • Compliance with country regulations and code of conduct at all times.
  • Role will require travel within UAE and depending on location, the need for overnight stays.
Knowledge, Experience And Skills
  • The ideal candidate will have a passion for commercializing breakthrough medicines, a strong competitive and commercial mindset, robust scientific acumen, and a patient centric approach.
  • Pharmaceutical industry selling experience is essential
  • Relevant Liver disease therapeutic knowledge is a plus.
  • Must have sound scientific expert knowledge and be able to stay on top of all relevant new emerging data and be able to understand and digest original publications and talks
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and build working relationships internally and externally along with strong influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Must be able to develop strong relationships with key opinion leaders.
  • Proven experience in account planning and cross-functional account management approach.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with a general level of autonomy and independence.
  • Must demonstrate solid analytical skills, be able to identify and understand moderate to complex issues, problems and interpret information in a manner that provides appropriate recommendations to management and specialists.
  • Must be able to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Must have a fluent English skill (written and spoken), Arabic language will be a plus
Specific Education and Experience Requirements
  • Typically requires a minimum of 4 - 6 years of relevant selling experience within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry with at least 2 years in specialty sales or account management in the appropriate therapeutic area.
