Overview
A prestigious private household in Emirates Hills seeks an experienced
Live-In Butler / House Manager
to oversee the smooth daily running of a large family residence. The ideal candidate is highly organised, discreet, service-focused, and comfortable managing household operations while providing hands-on support.The role requires flexibility, a warm yet professional manner, and the ability to confidently represent the principals in the home. Strong coordination with existing household staff and the principals' executive PAs is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Front-of-House & Guest Services
1. Answering the door, welcoming guests, and providing a high level of hospitality.
2. Serving drinks, refreshments, and assisting with informal or formal hosting.
3. Managing deliveries, packages, and service providers arriving at the property.
Household Operations & Coordination
1. Acting as the main point of contact for household maintenance, repairs, and service appointments.
2. Scheduling and supervising external contractors and ensuring work is completed to a high standard.
3. Coordinating seamlessly with housekeepers, nannies, and drivers to maintain household efficiency.
4. Working closely with the principals' PAs on household schedules, events, procurement, and service needs.
Errands & Personal Assistance
1. Running errands including shopping, returns, and collection of items as required.
2. Managing household supplies and ensuring essential items are stocked.
3. Support with occasional administrative tasks relating to the home.
Property & Outdoor Oversight
1. Overseeing general property presentation and readiness at all times.
2. Basic pool checks/maintenance (specialist support available if required).
3. Liaising with gardeners, landscaping teams, and other outdoor vendors.
Pet Support
1. Assisting with care routines for the family Labrador when needed (feeding schedule, letting out, walks when required).
Essential Skills & Requirements
1. Previous experience as a Butler, House Manager, or similar role within a private household.
2. Highly professional, polished, and well-spoken with outstanding etiquette.
3. Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
4. Flexible, discreet, and able to maintain confidentiality at all times.
5. Comfortable working around children and within a family environment.
6. Confident with vendors, service providers, and general household coordination.
7. A team player who collaborates well with existing household staff and PAs.
8. Pet-friendly and comfortable assisting with a dog.
