ROLE PURPOSE: The Line Maintenance Manager is responsible to the Production Manager for all company operated aircraft performed maintenance, repair, modification and alterations carried out. His duties shall consist of, but are not limited to, the following and any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Production Manager.

YOUR TASKS: Customer: Responsible for leading the maintenance staff on duty during his shift in order to complete the maintenance to support the company's flying requirements. Responsible for assigning enough maintenance staff to complete a task that is necessary to meet company operation requirements, even if it means staff must work over their normal working hours. He is also responsible for signing all overtime digital authorisations. . Responsible to originate and complete all maintenance forms and documents, ensure all appropriate entries have been made in or transcribed in the aircraft maintenance log with respect to maintenance function. This position will cover the MOC Manager from time to time as the operation requires. Responsible for the monthly building of the AIMs crew management roster, assigning flights, the monitoring of flight changes and the communication of flight changes to Flying Spanner engineers. Supervise the maintenance, repair, alteration, modification and overhaul of company owned, leased or operated aircraft, engines, and components at any point where company aircraft operate, are maintained or repaired in accordance with the company's approved maintenance program. Ensure that all Online mandatory trainings such as HF, EWIS & FTS training are completed within the required timeframes and communicate account issues with the online training to the Maintenance Manager. Ensures that all materials, parts and components used in maintaining company owned, leased or operated aircraft have been certified airworthy and are in good condition. Schedule daily meetings, performance dialogues & monthly team meetings to ensure compliance with Strategy 2025 & drive employee engagement. Ensure that maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with appropriate technical manuals and pertinent regulatory requirements. Ensure that company owned and/or operated maintenance and ground support equipment is operated and maintained in a safe and operable condition. Report any GSE defects to the Maintenance Manager and advice GSE mechanic. Line Maintenance Manager shall ensure that all maintenance areas, i.e., line, hangar, shops, and storage areas are cleaned and maintained to standard suitable for the accomplishment of the maintenance being carried out. A suitable standard of cleanliness is one which ensures that contamination of parts or assemblies is avoided. The Line Maintenance Manager will ensure that an adequate means of communicating information from each shift to the succeeding shift is maintained, to ensure the continuity of work-in-progress, or pending, with respect to aircraft, equipment, personnel and safety. Will maintain full control & maintenance upkeep of company owned Laptops, Mobile Phones & Onboard Flyaway kits carried on aircraft. Will conduct on-the-job training program and documentation of satisfactory completion of specific maintenance tasks, also will recommend other mechanics and attend courses as directed by company management. Will liaise with the Technical Director, Maintenance Manager, Engineering Manager and Quality Department for changes to the maintenance programs. Ensure that safety precautions and safe practices are adhered to and practiced by those personnel under his direction, shall report any unsafe conditions or equipment to the Technical Safety Officer Co-ordinates with Planning and Flight Operations to ensure that maintenance schedules are met on time. Recommend to the Production Manager the names of maintenance staff to be authorised for: towing, run-up and taxi of the aircraft. The Line Manager will train, asses & mentor the Category A engineers to ensure continuous development & progression into B1 certifying engineers. The Line Manager will, if required, assume the duties and responsibilities of the Production Manager in his absence. Scheduling of aircraft washing. Carry out, as well as, ensuring that all relevant aircraft technical log and work order information, including component changes are entered into the trax computer maintenance program.

Process: Must be able to manage the trouble-shooting of aircraft systems and engines, utilizing knowledge learned from individual aircraft type courses, maintenance manuals and references, and experience gained from "hands on" practical OJT. Must be able to make lead the Maintenance team by making timely and appropriate decisions based on problem solving ability and experience. Remains objective and co-ordinates with relevant departments, even when under pressure, to make a calculated decision with considerations given to safe 'on time performance' of the company fleet. Must be able to prioritize work requirements based on fleet arrivals, departures and scheduled maintenance. Monitor progress throughout shift, anticipate problems and adjust work or schedule to ensure optimum serviceability at all times Including flying technical support when called upon.

People Management: Staff Structure: Determine the team structure, roles, performance targets and goals at regional level to develop a high performance team that is customer-driven, service focused, cost-conscious and responsive to competing regional and global demands. Staff Management & Development: Ensure that the team is provided with clear direction and performance standards expected and is staffed, trained and motivated to meet set targets. Support staff in performance appraisal process and career development within the company in order to develop and maintain a motivated team of competent staff. Identify training needs and opportunities to develop a highly skilled Mobility team. Communication: Develop and promote team spirit and communication channels within the group and countries.

YOUR PROFILE: Must have a minimum of 10 years aircraft maintenance experience. Must have a minimum of 3-5 years as a senior line engineer. Must be a licensed, certifying and company approved engineer on the principal types operated. Must be able to communicate assertively, effectively and diplomatically with flight crew, flight dispatchers, ground handling personnel and senior management, as required
