Job Description

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Design street lighting systems, including preparation of detailed drawings and lux level calculations. Provide ongoing technical assistance and guidance to the project team, actively engaging in all site activities. Execute street lighting projects, including installation of lighting poles, high masts, feeder pillars, and related equipment. Coordinate and monitor overall field construction activities to ensure smooth execution. Ensure that all construction works are completed in compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, schedules, and allocated budgets. Prepare shop drawings and follow up with consultants to secure timely approvals. Prepare material submittals, RFIs, and coordinate with consultants for approvals. Develop As-Built drawings and obtain consultant approval. Prepare and maintain the procurement schedule and database of all electrical materials and equipment used on-site. Conduct routine inspections of project sites to ensure quality and compliance. Ensure effective utilization of manpower, equipment, and materials. Enforce and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. Demonstrate effective performance under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum of 5 years of experience in street lighting projects and lux level calculation. Strong managerial, supervision, and project planning skills. In-depth knowledge of installation, operation, and maintenance of street lighting systems. Thorough understanding of Health & Safety practices within construction and electrical environments. Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software tools. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment. Highly disciplined, hardworking, and committed to excellence in performance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous work experience in regions such as Iraq or Saudi Arabia, or established client connections within these markets. Prior experience with international street lighting companies (e.g., GE, Schneider, Philips) or international commercial lighting companies (e.g., LEDVANCE, etc.).

Additional Notes:

Strong expertise in street lighting design and execution is a priority. Candidates with commercial lighting experience may also be considered, provided they are willing and able to acquire comprehensive street lighting knowledge within three (3) months.
