About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and responsible Light Vehicle Driver/Chargehand to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating light vehicles while also providing leadership and guidance to a team of drivers. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to effectively manage a team.

Operate light vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies Lead and supervise a team of drivers, assigning tasks and coordinating daily operations Ensure timely pickup and delivery of goods or passengers to designated locations Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain vehicle safety and performance Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and any incidents or delays Provide excellent customer service to clients and passengers Assist in training new drivers and promoting safe driving practices Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report any mechanical issues promptly Collaborate with dispatch and logistics teams to optimize routes and schedules Handle administrative tasks related to vehicle operations and team management

What do we need from you

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record Minimum 5 years of experience as a light vehicle driver Previous experience in a supervisory role is preferred High school diploma or equivalent Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations in the UAE Excellent driving skills with a strong focus on safety Basic vehicle maintenance skills Strong leadership and team management abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficient time management and problem-solving skills Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required Familiarity with local roads and traffic patterns in Dubai and surrounding areas Defensive driving certification is a plus Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is beneficial * Physical ability to lift and handle packages or assist passengers as needed
