Job Description
Driver duties and responsibilities include safely transporting passengers or goods, adhering to traffic laws, performing routine vehicle maintenance and inspections, planning efficient routes, and maintaining accurate records of trips and fuel consumption. Key tasks also involve assisting with the loading and unloading of cargo, keeping the vehicle clean, and providing good customer service when interacting with passengers or clients. Safety & Driving
Safe Operation:
Drive defensively to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of passengers, goods, and other road users.Traffic Laws:
Adhere to all traffic laws, including speed limits, road signs, and other regulations.Vehicle Inspection:
Conduct pre- and post-trip checks to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition, checking tires, oil, and other essential components.Operations & Logistics
Route Planning:
Use GPS and local knowledge to plan the most efficient routes, considering factors like traffic and roadblocks.Loading/Unloading:
Safely and securely load and unload cargo, packages, or luggage from the vehicle.Time Management:
Manage time effectively to adhere to schedules and deliver passengers or goods on time.Vehicle Maintenance & Records
Routine Maintenance:
Perform basic maintenance, such as ensuring the vehicle is fueled and keeping it clean.Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel usage, trip details, and any other required information for reporting purposes.Problem Reporting:
Report any accidents, incidents, or vehicle issues to their supervisor or dispatch.Customer Service & Professionalism
Passenger/Client Interaction:
Interact professionally with passengers or clients, providing assistance, answering questions, and ensuring their safety and comfort.Vehicle Presentation:
Keep the vehicle clean, hygienic, and presentable for passengers and clients.Job Type: Full-time
