Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate company vehicles to deliver food items to designated locations. Ensure timely delivery while following assigned routes and schedules. Handle, load, and unload food products carefully to prevent damage or contamination. Maintain proper temperature controls for chilled or frozen items (if applicable). Verify delivery orders, collect signatures, and return delivery documentation. Keep the vehicle clean, well-maintained, and report any mechanical issues. Follow all traffic laws and company driving policies. Assist in warehouse or kitchen staff duties when required (e.g., packing, sorting). Uphold food safety and hygiene procedures during transportation. Provide excellent customer service to clients and store staff.
Skills & Qualifications
Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type (car/van/truck). Prior delivery driving experience (preferably in the food or logistics sector). Good knowledge of local routes and GPS navigation. Ability to lift and move moderate-weight items. Strong time management and communication skills. Basic understanding of food safety for handling and transporting perishables. Reliable, punctual, and attentive to detail.
