Job Summary

:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Light Vehicle Driver to join our MEP company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting tools, materials, and personnel to various job sites, suppliers, and other locations in a safe and efficient manner. The driver will ensure the timely delivery of equipment and materials needed for ongoing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing projects, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

:

Safely operate a light vehicle (e.g., van, small truck) to transport MEP materials, tools, and equipment to and from project sites, suppliers, and warehouses. Ensure timely delivery and pick-up of materials and equipment needed for ongoing MEP projects. Assist with loading and unloading heavy tools, equipment, and materials from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and safe transport. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-functioning vehicle by performing routine inspections, checking oil, tire pressure, fuel levels, and other vehicle maintenance needs. Report any vehicle issues or maintenance requirements to management or the fleet supervisor. Ensure all deliveries are made according to the schedule and without delays to avoid project hold-ups. Support field technicians and engineers with transportation of materials to the job site, ensuring that all required items are delivered on time. Communicate effectively with project managers, dispatchers, and the team to confirm delivery schedules and route planning. Ensure compliance with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while driving. Keep accurate records of deliveries, vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents during driving. Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records for materials transported. Adhere to safety guidelines for loading, unloading, and transporting hazardous or sensitive materials, as needed for MEP projects. Report any discrepancies in delivery, such as missing or damaged goods, and resolve issues promptly with the appropriate team members.

Qualifications

:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a light vehicle driver, preferably in an MEP, construction, or related industry. Knowledge of local roads, traffic laws, and delivery routes. Ability to assist with the loading, unloading, and safe transport of heavy equipment and materials. Strong time management skills, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries.

Preferred Skills

:

Experience in transporting tools and equipment for construction or MEP projects. Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. First Aid or Safety Training certification (preferred). Familiarity with industry safety protocols, especially when transporting potentially hazardous materials. Ability to read and understand MEP project plans to ensure the correct delivery of materials.

Working Conditions

:

Regular travel to various job sites, warehouses, and suppliers, often requiring long hours or occasional overnight trips. Ability to lift heavy items and assist with loading and unloading. Adhere to safety regulations when handling materials or working in potentially hazardous environment.

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
