Job Description
Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Light Vehicle Driver to operate company-assigned vehicles (cars, SUVs, vans, or light trucks) for transporting personnel, goods, or equipment. The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, strong knowledge of traffic laws, and excellent time management skills. Key Responsibilities: 1. Safe Vehicle Operation
- Drive light vehicles (e.g., sedans, hatchbacks, SUVs, or vans up to 3.5 tons) in compliance with traffic rules and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections (check fuel, oil, tires, brakes, lights).
- Report accidents, breakdowns, or maintenance needs immediately.
- Transport employees, clients, or materials to designated locations on schedule.
- Assist with loading/unloading goods (if applicable) and ensure secure cargo.
- Follow planned routes or GPS navigation while optimizing for efficiency.
- Keep the vehicle clean, fueled, and serviced as per maintenance schedules.
- Maintain a logbook for trips, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Carry a valid light vehicle driving license (required) and ensure all permits/insurance are up to date.
- Adhere to company policies (no phone use while driving, speed limits, no unauthorized passengers).
- Represent the company professionally with punctuality and courteous behavior.
- Assist passengers with luggage or special needs (if applicable).
- License: Valid light motor vehicle (LMV) license; heavy vehicle license (a plus).
- Experience: 2+ years of driving experience (corporate, delivery, or logistics preferred).
- Skills:
- Defensive driving techniques and basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
- Familiarity with local routes, traffic patterns, and GPS apps (Google Maps).
- Physical Ability:
- Capable of sitting for long hours and occasional lifting (up to 20 kg).
- Clearances:
- Clean driving record (no major violations); police verification may be required.
- Varied shifts (day/night) or fixed office hours, depending on assignment.
- On-the-road with exposure to weather/traffic conditions.
