Light Driver

1. Position Summary

The Light Driver is responsible for safely transporting personnel, documents, and materials between office locations, project sites, suppliers, and government authorities. The role requires safe driving practices, vehicle care, punctuality, and compliance with traffic laws and company policies.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Driving Tasks

Transport staff, visitors, and workers between company locations and project sites. Deliver and collect documents, small materials, tools, and parcels as instructed. Drive to government departments (MOHRE, Immigration, Police, Municipality, etc.) for company transactions. Assist in airport drop-off and pick-up for employees or guests. Ensure timely and safe transportation while following assigned schedules.

B. Vehicle Care & Maintenance

Perform daily inspections of vehicle condition (fuel, oil, water, tires, brakes). Ensure the vehicle is clean, properly maintained, and roadworthy at all times. Report any defects, repairs, or accidents immediately to the Transport Supervisor. Ensure regular servicing and annual registration are completed on time.

C. Documentation & Logs

Maintain accurate trip logs, fuel records, and delivery receipts. Ensure documents and packages are properly received and signed. Follow company procedures for document confidentiality and safety.

D. Compliance & Safety

Follow all UAE traffic laws, speed limits, and safety regulations. Ensure seat belts are used and safe driving behavior is maintained at all times. Avoid distractions, mobile phone use, and unsafe practices while driving. Assist passengers with loading/unloading items safely.

E. Support to Site & Office Operations

Assist with basic administrative tasks such as purchasing small items, printing, or document submission. Support the site team in moving light materials or tools when needed. Perform tasks assigned by Admin, HR, or Project Management.

3. Minimum Requirements

Education & Experience

Minimum 2-3 years of driving experience in the UAE. Valid UAE Light Vehicle Driving License (Manual preferred). Experience working with construction companies or PRO-related driving is an advantage.

Skills

Good knowledge of UAE roads, traffic rules, and government department locations. Ability to communicate in English (basic level sufficient). Professional, polite, and responsible behavior. Ability to handle documents securely and confidentially.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift light materials and work under sunlight when required. Fit to drive long distances when needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED2,000.00 per month
