Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.

Minimum 5-8 years of experience in lighting design and project management (commercial & residential). Proficiency in lighting design software: Dialux, Relux, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar. Strong knowledge of lighting standards, codes, and sustainable lighting practices. Experience in smart lighting systems (DALI, KNX, Lutron, etc.) is a plus. Excellent project management, communication, and coordination skills. Creative eye for design with a strong technical background.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

Light Construction Engineer

to oversee, manage, and support small to mid-scale construction projects such as residential buildings, commercial renovations, light industrial work, or interior fit-outs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and equipment involved in light construction and will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, and supervise light construction projects from start to finish. Interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents. Estimate materials, labor, and equipment needed for project execution. Oversee subcontractors, site staff, and construction activities to ensure quality and safety standards are met. Conduct site inspections and resolve on-site issues or delays. Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental requirements. Track project progress, prepare reports, and communicate updates to stakeholders. Assist in procurement of materials and liaise with suppliers and vendors. Manage site documentation including daily logs, timesheets, inspection reports, and change orders. Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other professionals as needed.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. 2-5 years of experience in light construction or similar roles. Knowledge of light construction techniques, materials, and safety regulations. Proficiency in MS Office and construction/project management software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Primavera, MS Project). Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Familiarity with budgeting and cost control practices. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional Engineering License or certification (depending on region). Experience with green building practices or LEED-certified projects. OSHA or other safety training certifications.
