Lifting Supervisor
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Oversee and supervise all lifting operations on-site, ensuring safety and efficiency.
Plan and coordinate lifting activities in accordance with project schedules and safety standards.
Verify and approve lifting equipment, accessories, and rigging gear prior to use.
Conduct risk assessments and develop lifting plans.
Supervise crane operators, riggers, and other personnel involved in lifting operations.
Ensure compliance with local and international lifting and safety regulations.
Maintain records of all lifting activities, inspections, and certifications.
Investigate and report incidents or near-misses related to lifting.
Requirements:
Relevant diploma or degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or safety certification.
Minimum 8-10 years of experience in lifting supervision, preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical, or construction projects in the Middle East.
Valid certification such as LEEA or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of lifting regulations, standards, and equipment.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and in a multicultural environment.
