Job Summary:

To supervise and ensure the safe execution of all lifting and rigging operations at the site in accordance with project safety standards, local regulations, and company policies. The Lifting Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing lifting operations, ensuring all personnel and equipment involved are certified, competent, and fit for purpose.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise all lifting and rigging activities at the project site. Ensure lifting operations are carried out as per approved lifting plans and method statements. Conduct pre-lift meetings and toolbox talks with riggers, crane operators, and all involved personnel. Ensure all lifting equipment (cranes, slings, shackles, etc.) are certified, inspected, and in good condition. Coordinate with the site team to schedule lifts without interrupting other construction activities. Verify lifting plans are suitable for the site and task conditions. Identify potential hazards and implement risk controls. Ensure all involved personnel wear appropriate PPE and follow safety protocols. Maintain daily lifting logs and reports. Immediately stop unsafe lifting operations and escalate issues to management. Liaise with crane operators, rigging teams, safety officers, and engineers. Support incident/accident investigations related to lifting activities. Ensure proper storage and maintenance of lifting gear and accessories.

Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical field. Valid Lifting Supervisor Certificate Minimum 5-8 years of experience in lifting operations in construction or oil & gas projects. Strong knowledge of lifting plans, crane operations, rigging techniques, and lifting gear.
