Appointed persons shall undertake their specific roles and responsibilities:
(i) Prepare Lifting Plan for all lifting operations and update;
(ii) Issue Lifting Permit;
(iii) Provide advice and guidance to signaller/slingers, riggers, workers engaged and lifting equipment operators on the identified safe system of work;
(iv) That a schedule of common lifts is developed detailing the means of lifting common loads on the site;
(v) Develop procedure to ensure that where special lifts are undertaken arrangements are in place to ensure that lifting operations can be carried out safely.
(vi) Maintain register of Lifting equipment and lifting accessories, along with its validity certification.
(vii) Maintain file of issued lifting permits, work-specific lifting plans etc.
(viii) Ensure all work equipment inspection is carried out by responsible personnel and records maintained.
(ix) Conduct regular audit of the above;
(x) Arrange Third party training to equipment and personnel as applicable, relevant to works.
(xi) Arrange Third party inspection of equipment and accessories and maintain legal compliance docs, up-to-date.
(xii) Report relevant incidents and participate in incident investigations, providing inputs and recommendations.
(xiii) etc. any other duties in relevance.
