Plan and oversee all lifting operations in accordance with relevant legislation
Conduct risk assessments and prepare method statements and lift plans for routine and complex lifting activities.
Select appropriate lifting equipment and ensure proper inspection and certification.
Liaise with crane operators, riggers, site supervisors, and engineers to coordinate lifting tasks.
Ensure that all personnel involved in lifting operations are competent and adequately trained.
Monitor site lifting operations to ensure compliance with safety procedures and project requirements.
Report and investigate incidents or near-misses related to lifting operations.
Maintain documentation for all lifting activities, equipment records, and competency certifications.
Advise management on lifting safety matters and participate in safety meetings and audits.
