Job Summary:

The technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of elevators, escalators, and other vertical transportation systems. This role ensures equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine preventive maintenance on elevators, escalators, and lifts. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues and perform repairs. Respond to emergency service calls and conduct troubleshooting to restore operation. Test, inspect, and certify elevator performance and safety compliance. Maintain accurate records of service work, inspections, and parts used. Communicate effectively with clients, building management, and team members. Recommend improvements or upgrades to customers when necessary. Stay updated on technical bulletins and training materials.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma in electrical/mechanical field preferred. 5+ years of experience in elevator maintenance and repair. Strong understanding of electrical circuits, mechanical systems, Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Physical ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and lift heavy components. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with major elevator brands (e.g., Mitsubishi, ThyssenKrupp, Otis, Schindler, KONE). Familiarity with both traction and hydraulic systems. Certification in safety procedures. Valid driver's license Currently staying in Dubai.

Working Conditions:

Field-based role with regular travel to customer sites. On-call duties for emergency repairs, including evenings and weekends. Exposure to high-risk environments; proper PPE must be worn at all times.
