Job Description

Role Objective

To ensure the safety, well-being, and enjoyment of all members and guests at Katara Club by maintaining constant vigilance over aquatic facilities, preventing accidents, and responding promptly and effectively to emergencies. The Lifeguard is responsible for enforcing pool safety rules, providing first aid and rescue assistance when required, and upholding the club's standards of service, professionalism, and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Engagement & Recreation Activities

Welcome and assist guests with information about recreational programs, schedules, and facilities. Organize, promote, and facilitate indoor and outdoor recreational activities, games, fitness sessions, and events. Ensure recreational equipment and facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained. Support in setting up and dismantling activity areas and event spaces. Provide a friendly, professional, and approachable presence to encourage guest participation.

Lifeguard & Safety Responsibilities

Maintain constant supervision of swimming pools, beach areas, or water facilities to ensure guest safety. Swimming pools should be brushed and vacuumed daily to ensure they remain free of algae, insects, and leaves. Enforce pool and recreation area rules, preventing unsafe behaviors. Respond promptly and effectively to water-related emergencies, administering first aid, CPR, or rescue techniques as required. Conduct daily inspections of aquatic areas, safety equipment, and rescue tools. Monitor water quality and report any hazards or irregularities to supervisor.

General Responsibilities

Assist with towel service, cold water distribution, and other guest needs within recreation areas. Work collaboratively with the recreation team to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Adhere to company policies, health & safety regulations, and emergency procedures.
