[What the role is]The Info-communications Media Development Authority (IMDA) ("the AuthorityaEUR) leads SingaporeaEUR(TM)s digital transformation with infocomm media. To do this, IMDA will develop a dynamic digital economy and cohesive digital society, driven by an exceptional infocomm media (ICM) ecosystem - by developing talent, strengthening business capabilities, and enhancing SingaporeaEUR(TM)s ICM infrastructure. IMDA also regulates the telecommunications and media sectors to safeguard consumer interests while fostering a pro-business environment and enhances SingaporeaEUR(TM)s data protection regime through the Personal Data Protection Commission.

[What you will be working on]

Evaluating applications and licensing telecommunications services, including advising applicants on licences to apply for and licensing requirements;

Reviewing and implementing licensing and regulatory frameworks, policies and schemes to ensure that these continue to remain relevant and effective, amidst market and technological developments;

Reviewing and streamlining licensing processes to improve customer experience, pro-enterprise orientation for businesses and efficiency;

Formulating/Reviewing SOPs to ensure that processes are consistent across licensing schemes, and addressing any gaps/issues in processes and licensing systems

Responding to public/licensee queries relating to telecommunications licensing

[What we are looking for]

Background in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Engineering (Telecommunications) or equivalent

Good knowledge of emerging technologies and their business/economic impact. Prior working experience in the telecommunications industry will be an added advantage.

Good interpersonal skills, including ability to work effectively and engage with a diverse group of stakeholders

Good writing, communications, and presentation skills

Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
