Job Purpose

Working as a member of a small team, we wish to add a talented, experienced Support Engineer whose duties will be include providing product, manufacturing: engineering and commercial support to Licensees, Joint Venture and other Overseas Operations,

To assist in the introduction and expansion of manufacture and assembly of Lucy Electric products to 3rd party and overseas sites

To assist in the introduction of 3rd party inwardly licensed products to Lucy Electric.

To operate as a supporting team member within the existing LME Contract Engineering Department

Key Accountabilities

Positively contribute to achieving the budgeted departmental annual sales target.

Assess, audit and develop 3rd party capabilities to ensure compliant product is produced within Licensed facilities.

Define and present analyzed costed solutions to meet internal and customer requirements within the complexities generated by multi-site and international locations

Develop & define product and supporting kit of parts considering the logistical & commercial requirements of Lucy\'s partners for the localized manufacture of outward & inward licensed products along with costed solutions of product content to various commercial scenarios

Produce PLM controlled Bill of Materials and CAD details to enable defined product to be engineered and manufactured within lucy and 3rd party facilities.

Attend training and continuous development opportunities and requirements.

Job Context

The position is responsible to:

Liaise With the Lucy resources of engineering. manufacturing and commercial functions to provide satisfactory solutions to the day to-day problems and the progression of designated Licensee, Joint Venture & 3rd party projects.

Provide. produce and transfer product, manufacturing process knowledge and Lucy working procedures to 3rd parties.

Transfer and train the routine product quality and testing requirements to 3rd parties.

Carry out external audits to assess 3 party capability and conformity to Lucy Electric requirements.

Operate NX & Teamcenter within Engineering controls.

Assist with the transfer of drawing revisions and technical information between Lucy and its partners.

Provide Contract Engineering support for bespoke contractual design requirements.

Maintain engineering integrity of Configurator controlled product structures manufactured across multisite locations.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

Degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering or similar

Minimum Experience:

5 years in an engineering environment incorporating either a design production or application engineering role.

Proven track record of experience in the Electrical and/or distribution Industry

Understanding of ISO quality systems.

Job-Specific Skills:

Proven ability to work within an engineering & technical support environment.

Have an understanding and empathy with the commercial aspects associated to engineering activities.

3D CAD & PLM experience

Electrical Industry knowledge

Mentoring / coaching of trainees

Willingness to travel internationally.
